There has been very little to report on the river this season to date. We have suffered from very low water for most of the spring and experienced the driest April for many years, May wasn’t much better. I have not heard of any salmon landed yet but Gordon Hyslop did run into some sea trout on Knockdolian last night. As I type, the river is just below the 6ft mark on Colmonell which will give it a much needed clear out and encourage fish to run over the coming days.
